This generator eliminates the trouble of dealing with a fuse box in a dark basement or going outside in a storm to start a portable generator when your power goes out. After connecting the Generac 5525 to your existing natural gas or LP (propane) supply and electrical service with an automatic transfer switch (sold separately), the generator is ready to operate 24/7 and requires absolutely no manual operation, no fueling, and no extension cords.
Whether you run a large home or small business, the 20 kW model offers you the advanced capacity of protecting your entire electrical panel, so inconveniences like heat or air conditioning loss and burst pipes or spoiled food are quickly avoided throughout the premises.
The generator arrives equipped with a flexible fuel line pigtail, composite mounting pad, and base fascia. You can select the automatic transfer switch that works best for your application.
